National Air and Space Museum Sopwith Snipe
National Air and Space Museum is located in Washington D.C, USA. The Sopwith Snipe on display was originally a two-seater Snipe brought to the USA after WWI for evaluation. The aircraft is depicted in the markings of E8082 of "C" Flight 4 Squadron Australian Flying Corps. The display however incorrectly attributes the markings to the "Royal Australian Flying Corps". The AFC never bore the prefix Royal. E8082 was most commonly flown by Lieutenant E.J. Richards.
